Volunteer
YACD is actively recruiting leaders in both corporate & entrepreneurial business enterprises that are interested in serving as individual student mentors to upper secondary seniors. Participating students are not allowed to be paid.
The intent of this program is to serve as an internship training ground for last year students to discover in a practical manner if the career that they are desiring to further pursue is an appropriate fit for them long term.
The program commitment is simple. Each YACD volunteer mentor allows a student to meet with them once every other week for a 6 month period to learn more about their desired trade. While Youth of Africa Career Development’s initial roots are in Kiambu County Kenya, we are interested in hearing from leaders throughout Africa that have an interest in bringing YACD’s educational initiatives in their classrooms. We actively seek entrepreneurs & skilled professionals to serve as mentors. We take senior year students out of the classroom & into their career field of interest for learning. YACD is also interested in partnering with overseas professional mentors that can provide live & prerecorded online webinar training for our high school seniors.
